deep thoughtz 016: CIRCLE THINKING - I HATE SEX
Greetings all yall depressed fishpeople, today on the deep ass thoughtz series we have a short little ditty for a short little post but trust me when I say that this is something worth hearing right here. This EP right here is some truly LETHAL breakup music, like some bringing it back to 2010 middle school cut-myself-and-play-piano-cuz-i'm-so-depressed nightmare territory with just absolutely no hope of reprieve. This brings a good question: why listen to it? Cuz it's fucking sick that's why mothafuckaaaaaah it's I HATE SEX IT'S CIRCLE THINKIN SUNN
This album right here might not be for all my readers, after all we take people from all walks of life here. If you some kind of a misogynist, some kind of idiotic "music critic" whatever the fuck that is, some kind of d-beat purist, yeah you probably ain't gonna like this shit right here. Thas fine, more emo for me and my crew son. Yeah btw if you gonna be in the $$CHIANG_MAI_ELVIS$$ corporation you have to follow this outlined model:
1. you must consume m*r*ju*n* every single day of your life
2. you must listen to this ep every single night of your life
3. praise elvis anaporn, the pizza jesus
simple enough really. Listen to this shit right here and you'll see it's so easy.
Actually if you listen to this album you'll see it's so hard to be alive, REGARDLESS this is some good music here for anyone with an open mind. The vocals are extremely loud, strained, and painful to listen to at times, but not in that Merchant Ships or Flowers Taped to Pens kind of way where it's painful to think that anyone would know I'm listening to this cringey bullshit but painful in the sense that I both want to know what happened to this singer but also don't. Songs like January 24, San Francisco, and Sleep Paralysis will bring you to the brink dawg. It's music that's loud and in your face but clearly pacifist in its nature, it doesn't want you to stand up, shout, and act, it wants you to sit there and feel the weight of the world on all living God's children. It's nice to listen to "dignified" sad music like the Smiths or Kate Bush where we can talk about all our horrors with a wink and a nudge as if it doesn't bother us like true and proper adults, but shit man life is hard sometimes and sometimes you break and when you break you don't break halfway. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, hope that you have a friend like I did in this musical group of Canadians I've never met before. Strange the things that we can achieve and learn in the days of Internet communication, but occasionally something fruitful comes along and things end up being better for you that day. It's a simple hope, but the simpler the hope the more you can put into it.
if you died i wouldn't be light but I wouldn't be heavy anymore
